Hello everyone,

My name is Tom, I am chess teacher. For an almost two decades chess has been one of the biggest part of my everyday life. During this time I enjoyed chess as a player, arbiter, event organizer and coach, gaining a significant experience, which I would like to share with you.

12th world chess champion Anatoly Karpov once said: “Chess is everything: art, science, and sport.” For majority chess can be only a game, but professional chess players find this game as a sport. In turn analysts consider chess as a science, nevertheless lovers find the beauty of art in it. Chess indeed is diverse and that`s why for me chess first of all is an unique tool for developing mental capacity.

I believe that education should be based on approach of understanding, not memorizing concrete things. Developing such mental skills like logic, critical thinking, memory, concentration etc. throughout studying chess is my approach. And I am glad to invite you to join me in this wonderful world of billion variations of self-growing!
